Correlation between morphology and immunophenotype in the diagnosis of pure erythroid leukemia

Pure erythroid leukemia is a rare entity that represents less than 5% of pediatric acute myeloid leukemias and classified according to the World Health Organization (WHO) within group unspecified leukemias. A clinical case 5-year-old patient admitted with septic arthritis in Pediatric Hospital, he also presenting fever anemia, for which medullogram immunophenotype were performed erythroleukemia was diagnosed. It can be concluded it necessary its diagnosis integrate clinical, morphological immunophenotypic, genetic molecular studies.
